I’ve always been a believer in the saying “feel the fear and do it anyway”. Yesterday I really put this to the test as I challenged myself to face one of my biggest fears and climb up a mountain ⛰ I have always been deathly afraid of heights and I couldn’t be more proud of myself for pushing through my fear! I can honestly say I almost called it quits at least once and I felt every emotion imaginable. At one point when I thought I couldn’t go any further but this guy was amazing at understanding how afraid I was and convincing me to believe in myself to keep going.
I’m grateful to have experienced something completely out of my comfort zone in the capable hands of my friend Jacob who is passionate about sharing his love for the outdoors and what it can do for others. He is in the midst of developing “The Col” which will be mountain retreats and experiences focused around utilizing nature and mountain adventures to guide you to dig a little deeper and reach the goals you want to achieve in your life ~
Although I was too afraid to carry my camera with me I’m happy to have snapped these photos with our cell phones! I’m always excited to broaden my portfolio so the next time I’ll be brave enough to bring my camera along ~
